The vessel has been accommodating workers involved in the Gorgon project located on Barrow Island, which is just off the west coast of Australia. Renaissance has been in service on the island since 2011 and the latest charter extension means that it will stay there until June 2016 and could potentially remain there until July if further extensions are triggered.
“Bibby Renaissance has worked on Barrow Island for almost 5 years now which is a brilliant achievement and milestone for everyone at Bibby Maritime. We have a track record of providing quality accommodation in remote locations and this charter definitely falls in to that category ”, said Carl McLaughlin, Commercial Manager at Bibby Maritime.
