Intro: It Is widely known that poor management can often lead to the destabilisation of companies, and although Bibby is not a sufferer of such an ailment, we know that there is always room for progression and improvement.
Challenge: During the most recent monthly HR meetings it was found that the Coastel Personnel believe there are some areas of management that need fine tuning and development. Coinciding with this, there was in internal employee engagement poll. For management, the feedback for this poll was generally positive, however as the famous President JFK said, “Leadership and Learning are indispensable to each other”, meaning we must increase education if we wish to further facilitate management.
Solution: Good management and leadership are key elements of a successful working environment. Evidence of such can be inclusive of increased productivity, low staff turnover, high morale and overall an enjoyable working environment. For this reason, all Bibby Maritime’s management personnel are scheduled to undertake a Foundation Management Training programme. The training course is designed to cover the following aspects;
- Coaching Your Team
- Conflict Management
This course will not only reinforce the teams’ management skills, but also the teams’ interpersonal relationships as it will allow a greater understanding of how each individual works best.
