FLEET SUPPORT LIMITED / UK ROYAL NAVY- BIBBY

As early as 1982, Bibby Line entered the floating accommodation market with their first contract for the British Ministry of Defence. Following the termination of hostilities in the Falkland Islands, Armed Forces Personnel needed temporary accommodation very quickly. Two Coastels, Bibby Resolution and Bibby Venture were transported from Europe to the Falkland Isles, located in Port Stanley and set up ready to work at short notice.
This long-standing relationship has continued even to today. In 2002, Bibby Portsmouth was contracted to Fleet Support Ltd (FSL) as a project specific, purpose built Coastel to provide floating office / accommodation, canteen areas, open plan office space, meeting rooms and en-suite bathrooms. FSL use this Coastel to temporarily house Royal Navy personnel from ships entering HM Naval Base Portsmouth for refurbishment or repair.
