Heating & Ventilation, Air Conditioning
All areas throughout the unit are served by a heating ventilation and air conditioning system (HVAC), which is automatically controlled to maintain the desired temperature level.
Additionally all bedrooms and public rooms have individually operated heating and air conditioning units.
All bathrooms have a mechanical exhaust system.
Machinery spaces have mechanical ventilation and exhaust systems.
Fire detection & alarm system
• Heat detectors are installed in all bedrooms, janitors rooms & store rooms. Smoke detectors are installed in the public rooms, corridors, galley and machinery spaces and are linked to a central control and alarm monitoring system located in the security office Deck 2.
• Fire doors, fire dampers and fire fighting equipment are installed & manually operated. Fire alarm push buttons are located throughout the coastel.
• A public address system operated from the security office serves all areas.
Power Supply
• Onboard Generators:- 4 Volvo generator sets 240kw each, 380 volts 50hz. 3 phase & neutral providing 230v for domestic supply.
• Emergency generator for light, fire detection system and fire pumps
• Shore supply connection can also be used.
